Today is the day of the towel; a must for all fans of Douglas Adams. Even if there’s reason to doubt that Fritz Fey sen. knew of this special day, this small, slightly anxious looking puppet from the bequest of the Theatre of Marionettes Lübeck is proof of his inventive talent. As of now, we are not quite sure of which play this puppet was part. Nonetheless, this small repurposed household helper is inspiring — maybe because we see our hand towels and dusters and the involved work with different eyes, now? One thing’s for certain — a hand towel is not only good for stopping spaceships…
