Lively puppet theatre in the old town of Lübeck
In medieval Kolk, the puppet theatre Lübeck and formerly the Lübeck Puppet Theatre were to be discovered:
In 1977, the Lübeck Puppet Theatre was opened by Fritz Fey Sr., who found a home after his many years of touring. After his death in 1986, his wife Ingeborg Fey took over the direction of the theatre and passed on the fortunes of the venue in 2006 to Silke Technau and Stephan Schlafke from the KOBALT Figurentheater. From 2007 the venue was called FIGURENTHEATER LÜBECK and you could experience lively puppet theatre with puppets, table and stick figures, hand puppets and other techniques.
The family program with fairy tales, adventures or lovable stories can accompany the whole childhood. The tickle spider, Emil Elch and The Little Goose Adele romp across the stage for the youngest theatregoers. Sleeping Beauty and Pirate Eberhard on Acapon Ride or The Princess on the Pea are stagings for all puppet theatre fans from the age of 5. In the last thirteen years, a demanding and nationally popular evening game plan has developed. From this repertoire Rigoletto, The Barber of Seville, Ringelnatz, Im Weißen Rössl, Line 1, Der Schimmelreiter and Rungholts Ehre are performed.
