Our exhibition doesn’t just show objects – it tells stories. From the richness of our collection, we create changing thematic focuses and concrete case studies. We draw on experiences from theater: spaces are staged, perspectives are deliberately set, and figures become narrators of their time. KOLK 17 sees the museum not as a place of ready-made answers, but as a place of lively encounters.

That's why KOLK 17 opens its collection digitally for all the curious minds. Behind the doors of our storage rooms, there are more than 20,000 objects from all over the world: Each object tells a story about people, craftsmanship, imagination, and the special ability to bring things to life.
