The experimental puppet and mask theatre ‘Rhabarber’ from Hamburg-Altona (1970-1983) built its puppets from household objects and found objects. The freely designed fantasy figures explored our world, which was strange to them. Improvisations gave rise to scenes, plays and an independent fantasy language.
