KOLK 17 houses around 20,000 objects: puppets, props props, stage sets, musical instruments from different places and different times.

To understand what these objects have to tell us, KOLK 17 not only researches, examines and interrogates them, but also invites people from Lübeck‘s urban community to join in the research and design.

This room shows the results and thus new perspectives on puppet theatre—with a changing collection of objects that are constantly rearranged.
